LODGING
PLEASE MAKE CERTAIN ALL ADULTS AND ALL CAMPERS ATTENDING KNOW THESE PROCEDURES BEFORE THEY ARRIVE.

  • WE ARE GOING BACK TO OUR ROOTS FOR 2023.  We were SO EXCITED to see so many troops tenting last year, which brings Prairie Flower back to its origins when it was 100% tent camping, so we will be limiting access for cabins for overnights.  We have several really good areas around camp for Tenting and are encouraging troops to use this option to expand your experience.  The Yurts and Tamaray will still be an option for indoor overnighting if you are new or have special needs.  And other cabins will be reserved in the case of inclement weather and be left available for programming without disrupting troops' space.  If you need access to camping equipment and training, let Prairie Flower Camp staff know so we can help you.

  • Lakamaga is located on Big Marine Lake near Scandia, MN.  There are a variety of lodging options on site to allow for different experiences. Each building and cabin has predetermined overnight capacities. Attending troops will be sharing facilities to maximize participation. Attending troops need to be prepared to carry their troop and personal gear for a few blocks to their lodging site. NO VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED BEYOND THE PARKING LOTS – No Exceptions. When completing the initial registration, troops will be asked to pick between 2 lodging options:

  •      1. Yurts/Tamaray
         2. Individual troop tenting

  • You will be asked to confirm your lodging choice with the Program and Logistics form after the Leaders meetings.  There is limited space for the Yurts and Tamaray Cabins and we will work to place your troop in a space that is most efficient based on the troop size.

  • You will get confirmation of your lodging location around the 1st of May.

  • We will do our best to assign a Fire Ring/Home Base area near your lodging location - but in some areas (like the Greenwood yurts) Space is limited and it is possible you may have a location further away for cooking, eating and activities, but this will be indicated in your confirmation materials.  It is also possible that you may need to share space with another troop.

  • See photos and details of each area below
